2026 Summer Mandarin Camp - Curriculum

Overview

 

Give your child a fun and immersive Mandarin experience this summer!

 

Our 2026 Summer Mandarin Camp follows a similar curriculum to our Weekday Afterschool Mandarin Program, with more time each day for language, culture, and creative projects.

 

• Language Focus: Traditional Mandarin

• Age: Children 4 years and older

• Dates: June 29 – August 28, 2026

• Sessions: 9 weekly sessions (register by the week)

• Class Size: Maximum 36 students

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

• Location: 10005 32nd Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98125

 

Enrollment is limited to 36 students. Registration is first-come, first-served.

 

What Children Will Do

 

The camp uses Traditional Mandarin and is taught mainly in Mandarin, with activities designed to help children learn naturally through play and creativity.

 

• Language & Culture

  • Daily Mandarin listening and speaking practice

  • Basic reading and writing with Traditional characters

  • Themed vocabulary (school life, family, food, animals, nature, etc.)

  • Cultural stories, games, and simple conversations

• Creative & Hands-On Activities

  • Art & Drawing – colors, shapes, and storytelling in Mandarin

  • Clay and Crafts – hands-on projects that reinforce new words

  • Chinese Calligraphy – practice brush strokes and character formation

  • Singing – learn Mandarin songs, rhythm, and pronunciation

  • Seasonal and Cultural Projects – activities tied to Mandarin culture and festivals

 

All activities are designed to be age-appropriate and engaging, helping students gain confidence using Mandarin in a relaxed, fun setting.

 

Camp Dates & Sessions

 

Each session is one week long. Families may register for one or multiple weeks.

• Tuition: $400 per week per student

• Registration is by week (per session)

 

Session Schedule

• Week 1: June 29 – July 3, 2026

• Week 2: July 6 – July 10, 2026

• Week 3: July 13 – July 17, 2026

• Week 4: July 20 – July 24, 2026

• Week 5: July 27 – July 31, 2026

• Week 6: August 3 – August 7, 2026

• Week 7: August 10 – August 14, 2026

• Week 8: August 17 – August 21, 2026

• Week 9: August 24 – August 28, 2026

 

Daily Schedule

• Camp Time:

  • Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

  • Pick up by 3:30 PM

• Early Drop-Off (No Extra Charge):

  • Students may arrive as early as 8:30 AM

  • No additional fee for early drop-off

• Lunch:

  • Home-packed lunch (students bring their own lunch each day)

• Optional Extended Care:

  • 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM, Monday–Friday

  • Families can add this option when registering

 

 

Tuition & Fees (Per Student)

 

• Camp Tuition:

  • $400 per week (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Mon–Fri)

  • Pick up by 3:30 PM. If a child is picked up after 3:30 PM, a late fee of $3 per minute will be charged.

• Early Drop-Off (8:30–9:00 AM):

  • Included, no extra charge

• Extended Care (Optional):

  • $100 per week for 3:30–5:30 PM

  • If a child is picked up after 5:30 PM, a late fee of $3 per minute will be charged.

• Maximum Enrollment:

  • 36 students in total

  • We recommend early registration to secure a spot
